This is only a bite-sized introduction to the world of Messiaen. I plan on putting up a ton of his stuff in the near future. What follows is 1) A clip of him teaching (I think Gerard Grisey is in the back of his classroom. You can see him near the end), and 2) the 5th movement of his 75-minute long Turangalila Symphony. Enjoy the chroma!
